The Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Guthrie, Ok. is pleased to announce the arrival of young violin maker, Lukas Wronski, from Poland. Lukas is a member of the Violin Society of America who has extensive study and experience in this discipline and will be using this expertise to build and sell his instruments in Oklahoma.
Owner of the Double Stop Fiddle Shop & world-renown fiddler, Byron Berline, says it is obvious Lucas is a perfectionist in his workmanship and he can highly recommend his violins.
Lukas attended and graduated from Kenar’s College of Arts, having studied violin-making. He followed that with an apprenticeship in Stalmach’s violin-making workshop in Poland. At the same time he earned a Master of Arts degree with honors as an outstanding student at the Paderewski Academy of Music in the Institute of Artistic Violin-making. Two more apprenticeships followed: in Cremona, Italy in the workshops of Eric Blot and Ricardo Bergonzi, and in London with Jack Wesolowski, a renowned violin-maker and restoring atelier.
In addition to his building skills, Lucas is also a very accomplished violinist and artist who enjoys drawing, painting and sculpting. You can see more of his work and art at his website
www.lukaswronski.com and find him most days at the Double Stop Fiddle Shop.
